Denver Rotary Club Foundation
Since its inception in 1969, the Denver Rotary Club Foundation (DRCF) has distributed millions of dollars to fund important local and international programs. Locally, our Foundation sponsors a variety of programs that nurture, educate and enrich the lives of young people – from the gifted to the economically challenged. Our fellow Rotarians contribute time, money and talent to help youth become productive members of society and to prepare them for the challenges they’ll face in the future. Internationally, the DRCF funds help further the worldwide humanitarian effort of Rotary International, including high school youth exchange programs. Additional DRCF-funded projects include providing developing communities with basic necessities like clean water, or with educational programs that empower them to combat disease and become self-sufficient. The DRCF is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

The Rotary Foundation (TRF) of Rotary International is a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty.
Rotary clubs and districts apply for and receive TRF grants to carry out many worthy projects worldwide. The Rotary Foundation funds grants that support Club 31 initiatives, including matching funds for Ambassadorial Scholars, group study exchange teams, World Peace Scholarships, university teacher exchanges, clean/safe water projects and more. Polio Plus
In the United States, it’s easy to forget that Polio is still a threat. Since 1985, Rotary members internationally have fought to raise awareness and funds to eradicate Polio. Through the Polio Plus initiative, we’ve seen a worldwide reduction in polio cases of 99.9%, and wild polio cases only remain in three countries – Afghanistan, Nigeria and Pakistan.
The polio cases that remain are the most difficult to prevent, due to factors including geographic isolation, poor public infrastructure, armed conflict and cultural barriers. Until polio is eradicated, all countries remain at risk of outbreaks. For as little as $0.60, a child can be protected against this crippling disease for life, and currently, every dollar Rotary commits to polio eradication is matched two-to-one by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation up to $35 million a year through 2018.

Through our Foundation, the Rotary Club of Denver now has a Vehicle Donation Program!
